Artist's Notes: This is an example of a "glaze" series made 30 years ago in a limited number, all signed, dated, and numbered. Inspired by Japanese hiotan gourds used for holding saki and other liquids. The cords were made by my wife using the traditional Japanese silk braiding technique called kumihimo. Surface treatments include the application of raku glazes and glass powders.
