Rare vintage 13-piece Japanese Kutani porcelain tea and saki set. Includes teapot, 5 tea cups (for Sencha), 2 saki containers, and 5 saki cups. Hand-painted design features red pagoda, gold clouds, black mountains, trees, and a crackle glaze finish. Comes in the original box with a red calligraphy signature on the bottom of each piece.
Set is in like-new condition with the original 'Made in Japan' stickers on most pieces. Minor fading on the gold edge of the teapot due to age. Purchased at an estate sale and believed to be unused. A rare find for collectors of Japanese porcelain. Sold As-Is. From a non-smoking, pet-free home.
