Antique Qing Dynasty Chinese repoussé silver needle chatelaine vase.
Features an ornate vase decorated with repoussé floral and bird designs, a floral hook at the top, and a carnelian agate bead at the bottom.
The vase slides freely up the hook chain and covers a slim inner tube used to hold needles. Inner tube is engraved with Chinese characters.
*Top hook tests as sterling, but the rest of the chatelaine may be a lower grade of silver. **Some patina, light wear throughout, unknown mark on the top hook is worn and unreadable.
Made during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), circa late 1800s - early 1900s. Good antique condition.
