Antique 1880 Fluting Crimper Pleater pressing Iron by Shepard Hardware, Buffalo N.Y. A unique cast iron fluting iron. Base marked (Pat’D Nov 12, Dec 17, 1878, and Jan 13,1880). BUFFALO N.Y.

Used to press fluted ruffles on linen cuffs and collars. Set includes heating base with lid, removable heating plate, and plate roller. The removable heating plate is cast iron with directions molded into the cast iron. The fluting roller is nickel plated and dated Pat’s 1880.
