Pre-World War II Rosenthal porcelain figurine depicting a boy playing with a goat. The manufacturing mark indicates it is hand-painted and was likely produced between 1935 and 1938. The artist's initials, Max Hermann Fritz, are visible. Fritz, a pupil of Lorenz Hutschenreuther, created numerous sculptures of animals and children. The boy's hair is curly and brown; the overall color is white. The goat has black hooves and brown fur in places. Figurine dimensions: 8" high, 3-½" long, and 3-¼" wide.
